The meeting began promptly at 3 p.m. with King reporting that the Management Committee would be meeting on May 22nd. We are looking for a recommendation from the ITC to take to the Management Committee on circuit pricing. A document was sent out from Ed Tully outlining several options.

King reported that the IHETS operating budget has been cut by legislative appropriation each year of the coming biennium. The 2001-2003 biennium budget will receive funding in the amount of $1,081.460. Suvon user fees will be increased by 3%.

A request was received from the Board of Directors that we consider a 3% increase for the staff. The options are outlined in the document sent out to you.

The advantages to being on the IHETS network are, video cashing and better service.

Fred Nay said he was hearing to keep things the way they are currently.

This means any new circuits installed from this point on will be billed at the full price of $16,500. IHETS will continue to support all currently installed ITN circuits at member institutions.

Tully reported that membership to Internet2 has been accepted.

Forward any agenda items to Fred Nay via email at fnay@bsu.edu for our next meeting scheduled for June 12, 2001, at 2:00 p.m. at IHETS.

Meeting adjourned at 3:30 p.m.
